Sevda KAÇMAZ (Head of Laboratory)
Sevda Kaçmaz is a graduate of the Physics Department of Gazi University’s Faculty of Science in 1993 and completed her master’s degree from the Physics Department of Kocaeli University’s Faculty of Science in 1997.
She began working as a researcher in the TÜBİTAK UME Mass Laboratory in 1994. She worked on the realization and establishment of the primary level and the secondary level mass standards, calibration of the primary and the secondary mass standards, calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments, and trainings for industry. She participates in training and consultancy services given in relation with laboratory’s working area at national and international level. In order to ensure the international traceability of the Mass Laboratory, she has participated in international mass comparisons on behalf of the TÜBİTAK UME. She is the representative for TÜBİTAK UME in the EURAMET Mass Technical Committee and in the BIPM CCM-WGM Committee. She has also acted as a technical assessor for TURKAK (Turkey Accreditation Agency) accreditation assessments.
Lenara Kangı graduated from the Mechanics Department of Moscow State University’s Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics in 1986 and received her master’s degree from the Mechanics Department of Moscow State University’s Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.
She began working as a Research Scientist in the TÜBİTAK UME Mass Laboratory in 1998. She works on the provision of calibration and testing services to the industry, as well as measurements for national and international intercomparisons. She has specialized in the establishment and conservation of the primary and secondary level systems in mass measurement.
Cengiz Yılmaz graduated from the Industrial Electronics Department of the İzmir Vocational High School of 9 Eylül University in 1994 and Computer Engineering Program of Hoca Ahmet Yesevi University in 2012.
He began working as a research technician in different laboratories of TÜBİTAK UME Laboratory in 1995. His areas of work have been the improvement of the measurement and measurement techniques in metrology field through utilization of microcontrollers and its applications, electronic circuit design, PCB design and device production, production of precision measurement systems, elimination of noise on electronic device applications, design of RF circuits, microwave power measurements, modernization of climate control systems with smart building applications, production of precision temperature measurement systems with water and oil baths, and temperature control circuits. He has been working exclusively in the Mass Laboratory since December 2013.
