SCOPE

The aim of the workshop is to introduce quality systems. Under this heading, presentations will concentrate on the requirements of the accreditation standard ISO/IEC 17025 Guide.

International developments in measurements require reliable and comparable results so that measurements made at one location can be accepted all over the world. The aim is to avoid the waste of manpower and resources due to repeated measurements.

The ISO/IEC 17025 Guide is set to achieve this goal. Measurement laboratories seeking accreditation have to prove the comparability of their measurement results by using common and traceable standards, and by reporting the results with corresponding measurement uncertainties.

Increasing the number of accredited laboratories will result in reliable products through reliable measurements.

As a candidate for EU membership, this issue is particularly important for the Turkish industrial sector exporting products to EU and non-EU countries.
