UME

Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory

About Us

The main purpose of TÜBİTAK UME Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory is to develop methods for measurements in the field of inorganic chemistry, to validate the developed methods, to prepare measurement uncertainty budgets and to make calculations in order to improve measurement quality and to ensure traceability of measurements. In order to ensure the traceability of measurements made in the field of inorganic chemistry, the laboratory carries out studies to contribute to the continuity of the international system by cooperating with relevant organizations within the metrological hierarchy in many related fields, including the production of reference materials. Providing training and consultancy on these issues

Fields of Activity

Method development and reference material production studies for the realization of inorganic analyzes needed in all areas of our lives in order to increase the quality of life, especially in the fields of environment, food and health, fall within the field of laboratory activities. In this context, activities such as method development, validation and application studies for the analysis of high technology products, especially the determination of pollutants in environmental samples and food samples, are carried out. Where applicable, reference methods such as ID-ICP-MS are used in the measurement services provided in the laboratory and in the certification of reference materials produced. Reference materials to be used as calibration solutions and quality control materials to ensure the traceability of the results obtained from the analyzes performed in these areas are produced by fulfilling the requirements of ISO 17034.
