About Us
The R&D Support and Information Systems Laboratory provides support to UME laboratories and projects carried out in the fields of control, automation and software of calibration/experiment instruments, design and manufacturing of measuring instruments, electronic and mechanical design, manufacturing, maintenance and repair, as well as providing similar services to the private sector on demand.
Areas of Activity and Services
Calibration/Test Automation
The Calibration/Test Automation Group carries out control, automation and software studies for the preparation of measurement setups and the automatic operation of measurement devices without the need for any intervention. In this way, it is ensured that accurate and high quality measurement results are obtained in a shorter time, investment costs are reduced, and the management of the measurements made is facilitated.
Electronic Manufacturing/Maintenance/Repair
The Electronic Manufacturing/Maintenance/Repair Group performs the maintenance and repair of all special measuring instruments at UME, whose existing service facilities are generally outsourced, as well as the design and manufacture of new measuring instruments upon request.
Mechanical Manufacturing/Maintenance/Repair
Information Systems
The Information Systems Group performs standard IT activities such as ensuring the continuous and secure operation of the UME Information System Infrastructure, increasing its efficiency, providing software and hardware technical support services, and meeting the software needs of UME with the software developed by UME.
