Metrology Protocol Signed at the 10th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Kazakhstan

On November 3, 2023, the Organization of Turkic States (OST) Council of Heads of State convened in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, with the theme of "TURKISH REVOLUTION". President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, President of Uzbekistan Shevket Mirziyoyev and Secretary General of the CIS Kubanchbek Ömüraliyev attended the meeting chaired by President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jömert Tokayev. President of the Turkmenistan People's Assembly Kurbankulu Berdimuhammedov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also took part in the summit as observer members of the organization. 

"Protocol on Cooperation in the Field of Metrology between the Relevant Institutions of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States" was signed at the meeting, aiming to contribute to the sustainable development of metrological infrastructure in line with the global objectives of the CSTO. With the protocol signed with the Metrology Institutions of the Member States, it is planned that the Turkic World will be much more active and productive in the World Metrology System with planned studies such as the joint use of new metrological infrastructures, the creation of an R&D Project program with strategic needs at the forefront, and the metrological requirements of Halal Products. In addition, the "Joint Action Plan for the Implementation of the Organization of Turkic States Transport Connectivity Program between 2023-2027" was signed and registered between the ministers and heads of institutions of the member states.
