A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Baku on September 30, 2022 to develop scientific metrological cooperation between the Metrology Institute of Azerbaijan (AzMI) and TÜBİTAK UME.

Rovshan ALİYEV, General Director of AzMI, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Acting Director of TÜBİTAK UME, signed the "Memorandum of Understanding", which was recorded in order to accelerate the support to be provided by TÜBİTAK UME for the establishment and development of new laboratories for the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute, which has been on the agenda in recent years.

During the visit, during which discussions were held on the feasibility report prepared by TÜBİTAK UME on scientific and legal metrology in Azerbaijan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. ÇETİNTAŞ was informed about the metrological infrastructure of the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute.

TÜBİTAK UME Acting Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ was also received by Memmed A. ABBASBEYLİ, Head of the State Service for Antitrust and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the meetings held here, the development of the activities of the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute together with TÜBİTAK UME and joint project studies in metrological activities in Azerbaijan were discussed.  

It is expected that this visit will soon be crowned with a concrete project agreement between two sister institutes of two sister countries.
