TÜBİTAK UME, "Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) by the Standards and Metrology Institutes of Islamic Countries (SMIIC) Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hosted the "Workshop on Metrology, Standardization and Accreditation Structuring and Development" for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) on 9 May.

The metrology session of the workshop hosted by TSE on 07-10 May in order to inform OIC Least Developed Countries on Metrology, Standardization and Accreditation and to determine the possible cooperation in these fields was held at TÜBİTAK UME on 9 May.

Participants from 22 countries attended the workshop, where presentations were made on the introduction of TÜBİTAK UME, the purpose of metrology, its impact and importance in the national and international arena. In addition, information was given about the collaborations that can be made with TÜBİTAK UME, the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed by TÜBİTAK UME with other countries and the activities carried out. At the end of the workshop, the participants were given information by visiting TÜBİTAK UME laboratories.
