"Acoustic Stakeholders Meeting" was organized by TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute Acoustic Laboratories at TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus.
The meeting organized by TÜBİTAK UME to exchange ideas for joint studies with its stakeholders and to evaluate scientific developments in the field of acoustics was held on January 23, 2013 with 53 participants.
Dr. Fatih ÜSTÜNER, Deputy Director of TÜBİTAK UME Institute, made the opening speech at the meeting;
- Introduction of Acoustics Laboratory,
- The Current Situation in Turkey in the Implementation of the Regulation on the Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise,
- Noise Mapping and Control Projects,
- Accreditation Process and Accreditation Status in Acoustics,
- Personal Noise Exposure Measurements and Evaluation with TS EN ISO 9612:2009 Method,
- Sound Insulation Measurement in Building Elements According to TS EN ISO 10140-2 Standard,
- Acoustic Performance Measurement of Doors and Windows,
- Experiences of Acoustic Laboratories in the Accreditation Process,
- Design of Acoustic Measurement Rooms Acoustic Laboratory International Comparison Experiments,
- Calibration of Sound Level Meters according to IEC 61672-3 standard,
- New Acoustic Measurement Technologies and Software Used in Acoustic Applications
titled presentations were made. After the presentations, the participants exchanged views with each other.
A short session was held on the expectations of the participants from TÜBİTAK UME Acoustic Laboratories and the work that can be done. In the session, inter-laboratory comparisons, which are needed by calibration / test laboratories and which TÜBİTAK UME Acoustic Laboratories are planning to organize, were announced to the participants. It was expressed that it would be useful to establish a technical committee to bring together experts in the field of acoustics. It was stated that TÜBİTAK UME Acoustic Laboratories is open to projects / collaborations that will meet the needs of the industry. After a brief evaluation of the meeting content, Acoustic Laboratories were visited.
