TÜBİTAK UME was included in the "Electrical-Electronics Export Honor List" prepared by the Turkish Electrical, Electronics and Services Exporters' Association (TET) every year as a result of the evaluation of the export performances of national institutions and companies.
Ranked 81st in the list of companies and institutions that have exported at least 10 million USD in their fields of activity in Turkey since 2011, TÜBİTAK UME draws attention with its activities within the scope of establishing and supporting the scientific metrological infrastructures of countries in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Africa, especially in the Middle East, and their integration into the international metrology system.
TÜBİTAK UME made a significant contribution to the total exports of 10.8 billion USD realized in the Electrical and Electronics sector in 2015 with approximately 13 million USD in exports.
The list, which was created to honor the companies and institutions that support the sustainability of the sector's exports and to thank them for their contributions to exports, is also of great importance in terms of promotion and prestige in terms of being launched to the public with various events.
The Electrical Electronics and Services Exporters' Association, which is the largest exporter association in Turkey with approximately 6,500 members among the 61 Exporters' Associations operating under the roof of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly as an affiliate organization of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy, ranks 4th in terms of the total exports made by its members.
The association, which was established to increase exports in the sector, to diversify export products and to work to give competitiveness to products, has been continuing its activities since 1991.
Within the framework of efforts to increase exports, the Association also undertakes initiatives for the development of the sector they represent, such as scientific examinations and research, publications, promoting our exporters abroad, organizing fairs and scientific meetings.
