Gabit MUKHAMBETOV, General Director of Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandart) and Kainar TAIZHANOV, General Director of Kazakhstan National Accreditation Center (NCA) visited TÜBİTAK UME on 23 June 2022 with the accompanying delegation. 

During the visit, the details of the cooperation outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding registered during the 10th SMIIC Metrology Council Meeting held in Istanbul on 16 May 2022 were discussed.
 
During the meetings attended by Ihsan ÖVÜT, Secretary General of the Standardization and Metrology Institute of Islamic Countries (SMIIC), ideas were exchanged on possible project partnerships to improve the existing cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan in the field of metrology and to develop the infrastructure of the Kazakhstan Metrology Institute. 
 
At the end of the meeting, a laboratory visit was organized to provide information about TÜBİTAK UME's laboratory capacity.
