Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Onbaşlı, who continues his studies at TÜBİTAK UME Quantum Metrology Laboratory, received the TÜBİTAK Incentive Award.
The "Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards", which are given annually by TÜBİTAK, found their owners on December 28, 2022 with a ceremony held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Onbaşlı, who works in our TÜBİTAK UME Quantum Metrology Laboratory within the scope of Article 38 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, received the Incentive Award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his "outstanding work in the field of nanoelectronics, nano-optics, nanomagnetic materials and devices; the production of magnetic insulating iron garnet films with the world's lowest Gilbert damping constant and the development of 2D spintronic devices with low power consumption". As TÜBİTAK UME family, we congratulate him and wish him continued success.
Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop, Vice President Fuat Oktay, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık, Higher Education Council (YÖK) President Erol Özvar and TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal also attended the ceremony.
