Merey Mukazhan, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OST) and Togzhan Bauyrzha, Project Coordinator visited TÜBİTAK UME on 16 February 2026.

During the meeting, information was provided about the activities of our Institute, cooperation with the CIS Member Countries and the Turkic States Metrology Union (TURKMET), which is in the process of establishment. Information was exchanged on the next stages of the TURKMET establishment process. It was decided that the directors of the metrology institutes of the member countries and relevant experts will come together in April and finalize the TURKMET Charter prepared by TÜBİTAK UME.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Time and Frequency Laboratory, the Electromagnetic Laboratory, the Force Laboratory, the Mass Laboratory and the Quantum Metrology Laboratory and received information about the work carried out.
