TÜBİTAK UME hosted the "2nd National Conference on Photonics Science and Sensor Technologies" held on July 2 to share current developments and knowledge in photonics and sensor sciences.

Organized by the Organizing Committee, Executive Committee and Scientific Committee consisting of UME and GYTE employees, and jointly organized by TÜBİTAK UME and GYTE, the conference attracted 60 participants consisting of university lecturers, doctoral and graduate students working in the field of Photonics Science and Sensor Technologies at universities and research institutions.

In the opening speech made by Dr. Sinan FANK, Mechanical Group Coordinator, and in the presentation made by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Erkan KÖSE, the facilities and capabilities of TÜBİTAK UME and Photonic and Electronic Sensors Laboratory were explained. At the conference, scientists specialized in photovoltaics, OLED display technologies and sensor technologies shared their own studies and information from the literature.

With the traditionalization of this conference, the first of which was hosted by UME, it is aimed to bring together scientists working in the field of Photonics Science and Sensor Technologies in Turkey to share knowledge and experience.
