The application process for the 8th Cycle of the "BIPM-TUBITAK UME Project Placements" Program, implemented in cooperation with TÜBİTAK UME and the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), started on February 4, 2025.

At the end of the application process, which will continue until April 6, 2025, researchers who are eligible to participate in the program will receive training from TÜBİTAK UME experts in their own research fields for 1 to 3 months and will continue their research on the project topics they request by integrating them into laboratory studies. The program is planned to start on September 1, 2025.

The BIPM - TÜBİTAK UME Project Placements Program, which has been successfully carried out since 2018 with the participation of 67 researchers from 33 countries, not only strengthens the cooperation ties established with the metrology institutes of the participating countries, but also gives TÜBİTAK UME a serious impetus to raise the bar in the metrology ecosystem.

The success of this training program, which contributes to the integration of developing country institutes into the international system, has an important prestige value in terms of consolidating TÜBİTAK UME's place in the "league of champions" category of the metrology world.
