Time and Frequency Laboratory was established at Uzbekistan National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM) with the contributions of TÜBİTAK UME.
In this installation, which TÜBİTAK UME realized by sharing its know-how, support was provided in areas such as the design of the laboratory, the software of the devices to be used in the laboratory, the establishment of the automation system, the calibration of the related devices, and training. UzNIM Time and Frequency Laboratory was integrated into the international arena through bilateral comparisons.
On November 6, 2023, the inauguration of the Time and Frequency Laboratory at the National Metrology Institute of Uzbekistan was held with the participation of representatives of the relevant ministries and heads of departments and industry experts.
On the same day, TÜBİTAK UME experts, relevant ministries and institutions, and mobile phone operator experts participated in the seminar on "Establishing a national time and frequency unit standard and National Time Scale UTC (UZ) and providing the right legal time to economic sectors".
President of the National Metrology Institute of Uzbekistan Saidoripov Lazizbek and TUBITAK UME Acting Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ signed a roadmap agreement on the implementation of scientific and technical cooperation in the field of metrology in 2023-2024. With the signed agreement, new laboratories will be established in UzNIM within the next year and joint studies will be realized.
In addition, Mr. ÇETİNTAŞ was informed about the scientific activities and technical capabilities of the laboratories of the National Metrological Institute of Uzbekistan, scientific and innovative projects implementation partner INNO - innovative educational and production technopark.
