An action plan was signed between TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (UME) and Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandard) on 28 October 2022.
At the signing ceremony held in Almaty/Kazakhstan for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TÜBİTAK UME and KazStandard last May, TÜBİTAK UME Director (V.) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ and KazStandard General Manager Gabit MUKHAMBETOV signed an action plan consisting of 12 articles in two texts in Russian and English.
With the action plan signed within the scope of the memorandum of understanding, it was aimed to develop metrological cooperation between the two institutions in many areas, especially the production of primary level standards for the new definitions of SI Units and Certified Reference Materials with widespread use through joint projects.
The action plan signed for ensuring the measurement union, which is of great importance in increasing the trade volume of USD 5 Billion between the two brotherly countries to USD 10 Billion, was followed with great interest by the Kazakhstan media.
