Subject: European Metrology Network for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Capacity Building Workshop Announcement
In order to fully implement advanced sustainable economies, countries need to develop advanced manufacturing technologies and advanced materials, one of the 6 key enabling technologies identified by the EU Commission. The metrology network formed by the National Metrology Institutes of European countries consists of 3 main parts: Advanced Materials, Smart Manufacturing Systems, Manufactured Parts and Products. All these areas have to take into account various advanced manufacturing technologies, including zero defects, zero delays, zero surprises, zero waste and recycling. The Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Metrology Network, working in partnership with all stakeholders, has started to develop a European strategy plan for advanced manufacturing technologies. In order to integrate the new EU Member States and Candidate Member States into the strategic plan, it is necessary to identify their current situation and needs.
To this end, a workshop will be organized on the development of advanced manufacturing technologies and metrology capacities of new EU countries and EU candidate countries. The workshop will be held in Belgrade on May 16-17, 2023.
