TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Uzbekistan Standardization, Metrology and Certification Agency (Uzstandard) to improve cooperation.

TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute Director Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ and TÜBİTAK UME Board Members Süleyman YAŞAR, Önder BARAN, Dr. Akif AKGÜL and Aydın ASLANDAĞ signed the "Memorandum of Understanding", which was recorded during the visit to Uzbekistan Standardization, Metrology and Certification Institution on 21-24 August 2017 with the participation of TÜBİTAK UME Director Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ and Uzbekistan Standardization, Metrology and Certification Institution General Director Dr. Abdülhamid KARIMOV.

With the signed agreement between the two Institutes;

- Technical support and consultancy,

- Conducting joint research projects,

- Visiting researcher exchange,

- Supply of technical information, reference data, materials and publications,

- Requirements for participation in joint seminars, workshops and training courses were set.

After the signing of the "Memorandum of Understanding", a mutual exchange of views was held with Uzstandard officials and a decision in principle was taken to prepare joint action plans for the development of Uzbekistan's quality infrastructure and increase its international recognition and to carry out joint cooperation activities immediately.
