A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Standardization and Metrology Agency of Mongolia (MASM) and TÜBİTAK UME on 13 March 2023 for the development of scientific metrological cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mongolian Ambassador Munkhbayar GOMBOSUREN and TUBITAK UME Acting Institute Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ at the ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt ÇAVUŞOĞLU and Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh BATTSETSEG.

The relations between the two institutions, which have been continuing since 2019, have reached an advanced stage, especially with the long-term training of MASM technical personnel participating in the Project Placement Program organized in cooperation with BIPM - TÜBİTAK UME and the calibration services provided at TÜBİTAK UME.

With the signed Memorandum of Understanding, it is aimed to increase the areas of metrological work between Mongolia Standardization and Metrology Agency and TÜBİTAK UME and to develop potential cooperation in new areas such as conducting joint projects and expanding training capacity.
