TÜBİTAK UME met with the delegation of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCSMP).
In the meeting held between TÜBİTAK UME and SCSMP on 23-24 May, SCSMP Director Oktay ABBASOV and TÜBİTAK UME Institute Director Dr. Fatih ÜSTÜNER signed an MoU for the development of cooperation. SCSMP External Relations Officer Natig VALIYEV, Temperature Laboratories Officer Azar BAGHIROV, Planning and Business Development Officer Sardar ASLANOV, TUBITAK UME Technical Assistant Directors Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ceyhan GÖREN, Administrative Assistant Director Dr. Erkan DANACI, Mechanical Group Coordinator Dr. Sinan FANK, Time-Frequency and Wavelength Laboratories Officer Assoc. Dr. Ramiz HAMİD and UME International Relations Department experts also attended the signing ceremony.
The MoU signed between the two Institutes and the possible joint studies were evaluated and
- Technical support and consultancy,
- Conducting joint research projects,
- Visiting researcher exchange,
- Supply of technical information, reference data, materials and publications,
- Participation in joint seminars, workshops and training courses
conditions have been determined for the subjects.
During the meetings, the restructuring of the existing infrastructure of the two institutions, the establishment of new laboratories, the selection of appropriate devices, support for personnel training and the organization of bilateral comparisons between the two institutions were also discussed. In addition, within the scope of the restructuring of their existing infrastructure and realization of new investments, the parties mutually agreed to receive consultancy from UME for the determination of the metrological parameters of the metrology building to be built and the technical specifications of the devices in the new laboratories to be established and to implement the issue immediately.
After the meeting, TÜBİTAK UME laboratories were visited and information was given about the studies carried out.
