Rapidly developing communication technologies have increased the use of high frequency devices. The interference of high frequency signals in our living spaces not only affects the quality of communication but also brings technologically difficult problems. In order to get rid of these problems, it is important to measure the power levels of power sources that provide RF signals to the environment accurately and quickly.
The project titled "Development of a new method and software for automatic RF power measurement and RF power meter calibrations" was carried out with the support of SPARK Calibration Inc. and METU Computer Engineering under the management of TÜBİTAK UME with TÜBİTAK TEYDEB 1505 support.
With this project, a software that can perform automatic RF power measurement has been developed that can be used by manufacturers making production based on RF power measurement and calibration and test laboratories that have accreditation within the scope of RF power measurement.
With the project, a software has been developed that can be used in the calibration of Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), which are mostly used for measuring reflection and transmission coefficients at microwave frequencies, and RF power sensors. With this software, reflection coefficients of VNA mechanical calibration kits can also be measured.
Two meetings are planned in Ankara and Kocaeli provinces on the following calendars for the practical presentation of the software output of our project.
