The seminar, which was attended by Andy Henson, Head of International Relations and Communications at BIPM, and Chingis Kuanbayev, International Relations Officer, discussed the international metrology system and the CIPM Mutual Recognition Agreement (CIPM MRA), which provides an institutional framework for metrology institutes to recognize the equivalence of each other's national reference standards and calibration certificates.

The seminar highlighted the role of global quality infrastructure and metrology, as well as the importance of the Meters Convention, the functioning of the CIPM MRA, its impact on the quality infrastructure and the obligations of participating institutes, as well as activities within the framework of the CIPM MRA, such as benchmarks, declaration and review of calibration and measurement capabilities, and audit of quality management systems.

In the seminar where presentations were made by the expert staff of TÜBİTAK UME on Turkey's quality infrastructure, the role of EURAMET and CIPM MRA in the functioning of EURAMET and CIPM MRA, EURAMET's mechanism for auditing the quality management systems of institutes, effective participation in international comparisons and the creation of uncertainty budgets, short presentations were made by the participants of the training program about their work at TÜBİTAK UME.
