On December 9, 2024, TÜBİTAK UME hosted a Saudi Arabian delegation of 6 people from the Defense Development Authority (GADD) and Prince Sultan Defense Studies and Research Center (PSDSARC), one of the top organizations of the Saudi Arabian Defense Industry.

At the meeting held under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), activities that can be carried out to strengthen cooperation between Saudi Arabia's defence industry organizations and TÜBİTAK UME in the field of quantum technologies were discussed. In this context, the support that TÜBİTAK UME can provide in terms of devices, test and measurement systems, information transfer and personnel training for the establishment and development of Saudi Arabia's infrastructure in the field of quantum metrology was discussed.

After the meeting, where a verbal agreement was reached on the realization of joint projects and the establishment of cooperation mechanisms, TÜBİTAK UME's Time-Frequency and Wavelength, Thermodynamic Metrology, Electromagnetic and Quantum Metrology Laboratories were visited. Within the scope of the visit, the delegation was informed about the services, technical capacity, research and projects carried out in these laboratories.
