The projects in which TÜBİTAK UME participated within the scope of the "European Metrology Program for Innovation and Research" (EMPIR) 2019 calls funded by the European Commission started to be carried out.
1 of the 11 projects (4 on Energy, 3 on Normative, 2 on Environment and 2 on Research Network call topics) that will start in 2020 has started to be implemented. The execution of the other 10 projects will start within the year.
11 projects in which TÜBİTAK UME participated as a partner:
- Metrology of magnetic losses in electrical steel sheets for high-efficiency energy conversion (HEFMAG)
- Metrology for future energy transmission (FutureEnergy)
- Metrology for emerging photovoltaic (PV) applications (Metro-PV)
- New metrological methods for the analysis of biofuels (BIOFMET)
- Metrology for climate-related volatile organic compounds (MetClimVOC)
- Stable isotope metrology for climate action and regulation (STELLAR)
- Support for standardization of high voltage tests with composite and combined waveforms (HV-com²)
- Measurement methods and test procedures for assessing the accuracy of measuring transformers for power quality measurements (IT4PQ)
- Revision and extension of standards for test methods for LED lamps, luminaires and modules (RevStdLED)
- Support for the European Metrology Network for Quantum Technologies (EMN-Quantum)
- Support for the Advanced Manufacturing European Metrology Network (AdvManuNet)
The EMPIR program, which was launched following the iMERA, iMERA+ and EMRP programs, will end in 2024 with the last calls announced in 2020. It is foreseen that projects will continue to be supported by the European Partnership in Metrology Program (EMP), which is designed within the scope of the Horizon Europe program, which is planned to be implemented in 2021 after Horizon 2020.
