Visit to TÜBİTAK UME by Georgian Delegation

Officials from Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation (SRGNSF) visited TÜBİTAK UME on January 25-26, 2018 within the scope of the cooperation agreement signed between TÜBİTAK and SRGNSF.

The visit was organized in accordance with the "Cooperation Protocol in the Field of Science and Technology" signed between TÜBİTAK and SRNSF on February 9, 2016 in order to support joint research and development projects between the scientists of the two countries. Manana MIKABERIDZE, Director General of SRGNSF, Dr. Nino GACHECHILADZE, Deputy Director General of SRGNSF, Prof. Dr. A. Arif ERGİN, President of TÜBİTAK, Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Director of TÜBİTAK UME, Dr. Zeynep ARZIMAN, Bilateral and Multilateral Relations Manager of NIDB, and experts from TÜBİTAK UME and TÜBİTAK International Cooperation Department.

In the program, which was held to get information about the institutes in TÜBİTAK's Gebze Campus and to establish contacts for establishing cooperation, introductory presentations about TÜBİTAK MAM, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and TÜBİTAK MARTEK were made to the guest delegation, who were informed about TÜBİTAK UME and given the opportunity to examine its laboratories.

Based on the cooperation agreement signed between SRGNSF, the state organization supporting scientific R&D activities in Georgia, and TÜBİTAK, the bilateral cooperation between Turkish and Georgian research institutions to provide financial support for joint projects is aimed to be further expanded.
