UGETAM (Istanbul Applied Gas and Energy Technologies Research Engineering Industry Trade Inc.) executives paid a courtesy visit to TÜBİTAK MAM and TÜBİTAK UME on January 21.

Prof. Ümit Doğay ARINÇ, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Serkan KELEŞER, General Manager and Ali TEM, Technological Services and Certification Manager attended the visit by UGETAM. UGETAM delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. İbrahim DİNÇER, President of TÜBİTAK MAM, Dr. Fatih ÜSTÜNER, Director of UME, Dr. Sinan FANK, Mechanical Group Coordinator, Dr. Erkan DANACI, Administrative Assistant Director, Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Technical Assistant Director and laboratory expert staff.

During the visit, ideas were exchanged about possible collaborations between TÜBİTAK MAM, TÜBİTAK UME and UGETAM. During the visit, information was shared about the activities of TÜBİTAK MAM and TÜBİTAK UME; information was given about the Photovoltaic Performance Test Center, which is being established within the scope of the studies carried out at TÜBİTAK UME on renewable energy. The UGETAM delegation was informed about the studies carried out at home and abroad, the projects carried out and the activities planned for the future. After the meetings, TÜBİTAK UME Optical, Photonic and Electronic Sensors Laboratories were visited.

In addition, during the meetings, views were exchanged about the International Istanbul Smart Grids Congress and Exhibition to be held between 9-10 May 2013 at Green Park Pendik Hotel & Convention Center Istanbul, which UGETAM supported. TUBITAK MAM and TUBITAK UME Managers decided to actively participate in the congress and exhibition of this organization.
