TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute hosted officials from the Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Quality (Agence Burkinabé de Normalisation, de Métrologie et de la Qualité - ABNORM), the national metrology institute of Burkina Faso, on 3-7 September 2018.
ABNORM Chairman Marcel SINKA, General Manager Issaka Zoungrana, Metrology Manager Issa Sawadogo, Quality Control Manager Djakaridja Nyamba and Metrology expert Oumarou Ky visited the laboratories at TÜBİTAK UME.
During the five-day visit, bilateral meetings were also held with officials from TÜBİTAK UME's Mass, Temperature, Pressure, Dimensional, Volume, Density and Viscosity and Impedance laboratories.
During the working visit, the delegation discussed cooperation opportunities for the provision of technical consultancy for the establishment of new buildings and laboratories planned to be built in Burkina Faso, the development of ABNORM's existing laboratories and the establishment of traceability chains of its standards and personnel training.
As a result of the visit carried out within the framework of the "Memorandum of Understanding" registered on August 10, 2016 hosted by TÜBİTAK UME, it was decided to continue scientific and technical cooperation with ABNORM.
