In order to meet the needs of TSE Calibration Center, TUBITAK 1007 "Development, Design and Installation of Force Calibration Machines in the range of 10 N-100 KN" and "Design, Development and Installation of Reference Systems for Hardness Reference Block Calibration" projects, which are carried out by TÜBİTAK UME Force Laboratories, started in January 2013.
With these projects, it is aimed to improve the calibration infrastructure of the Center and increase its calibration capabilities by manufacturing force calibration machines and hardness reference machines for the TSE Calibration Center.
Within the scope of the Development, Design and Installation of Force Calibration Machines Project; 3 force calibration machines with 1 kN, 10 kN and 100 kN capacities and 1 force calibration system with 200 N capacity will be designed by TÜBİTAK UME. Dead Weight Brinell-Vickers Hardness Calibration Machine and Dead Weight Rockwell Hardness Calibration Machine with Laser Interferometer Optical System will be built within the scope of the Design, Development and Installation of Reference Systems for Hardness Reference Block Calibration Project. After the completion of their design and manufacturing, the performance measurements of the machines and systems to be installed in TSE Laboratories will be carried out and delivered by TÜBİTAK UME.
For the integration of the produced devices into the national system, bilateral comparison measurements will be made with TÜBİTAK UME to ensure TSE's traceability in these areas through TÜBİTAK UME and thus be included in the international system.
TÜBİTAK UME aims to contribute to the development of the calibration infrastructure in our country by transferring its knowledge and experience to the institutions in the metrology system with such projects in line with the needs of the country.
