Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Burkina Faso Metrology and Quality Authority

TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Standardization, Metrology and Quality Agency (Agence Burkinabé de Normalisation, de Métrologie et de la Qualité - ABNORM), which is the national metrology institute of Burkino Faso.

On August 10, 2016, the "Memorandum of Understanding" was signed by Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Director of TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute, and Marcel SINKA, Chairman of the Board of ABNORM.

After the signing ceremony attended by Ky OUMAROU, ABNORM General Manager, Joel BADO, Metrology Department Manager, Djakaridja NYAMBA, Quality Control Manager, TÜBİTAK UME laboratories were also visited.

With the signed agreement, cooperation opportunities were identified between the two institutions for the provision of technical consultancy for the establishment of new buildings and laboratories planned to be built in Burkino Faso, the development of ABNORM's existing laboratories and the establishment of traceability chains of its standards and personnel training.

With this agreement, the number of MoUs signed by TÜBİTAK UME with equivalent organizations abroad increased to 29.
