TÜBİTAK UME signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Gambia Standards Bureau (TGSB) to improve cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Papa Secka, General Manager of TGSB and Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Acting Director of TÜBİTAK UME on 25 August 2015.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed during the visit, which was also attended by Naffie Barry, Permanent Undersecretary of the Gambian Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Labor, aims to establish cooperation to improve the capacity of TGSB.

With the signed agreement between the two Institutes;

- Technical support and consultancy,

- Conducting joint research projects,

- Visiting researcher exchange,

- Supply of technical information, reference data, materials and publications,

- Participation in joint seminars, workshops and training courses

conditions have been determined for the subjects.

Within the scope of the agreement, TÜBİTAK UME will first provide consultancy services to TGSB in September 2015 to determine its infrastructure and technical training needs within the scope of a project supported by the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

With this agreement, the number of MoUs signed by TÜBİTAK UME with equivalent organizations abroad increased to 28.
