TÜBİTAK UME Temperature Laboratory is organizing Platinum Resistance Thermometer Calibration Comparison.
Inter-laboratory comparisons (ILC) and proficiency tests (PT) are the most important tools for assessing the technical competence of calibration/testing laboratories. This is also stated in TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard and related TÜRKAK guidance documents. It is a requirement of TURKAK that accredited laboratories or laboratories applying for accreditation participate in LAKs related to the measurement quantities within their scope of accreditation and have achieved successful results.
The most important feature of a benchmark is that it should support the scope uncertainty of the laboratory participating in the benchmark. For this reason, TUBITAK UME Temperature Laboratory has taken into consideration the need for reliable and low uncertainty comparisons in temperature measurements of accredited calibration laboratories in the country. For this reason, it was decided to organize two different LAKs covering the entire temperature range in the field of Platinum Resistance Thermometer calibration.
The first of these comparisons will be organized in the range of -80 °C to 200 °C, covering the low and medium temperature zone.
The target of the second comparison is the high temperature region and will be carried out in the temperature range from 0 °C to 650 °C.
In this way, the entire temperature range of Platinum Resistance Thermometers, which is the lowest uncertainty measuring device of temperature metrology in industrial terms, will be covered.
Laboratories that will participate in the comparisons until 28.01.2021 application form by filling ume@tubitak.gov.tr to the e-mail address. Participants with TUBITAK UME Interactive ordering system records can fill out the LAK application form from this section and make their applications.
