Abdulaziz Al-Gossair, Director of the Metrology Institute (NMCC) of the Standard, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid Aldawood, Head of Time and Frequency Laboratory, and TÜBİTAK UME officials met between July 22-26 to discuss new cooperation issues.
The meetings with NMCC were attended by Dr. Fatih ÜSTÜNER, Acting Director of TÜBİTAK UME Institute, Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ceyhan GÖREN, Technical Assistants to the Institute Director, Dr. Erkan DANACI, Administrative Assistant to the Institute Director, relevant laboratory managers and the international relations department. During the meetings, two project agreements were signed to improve the existing infrastructure of NMCC's Wavelength, Dimensional, Mass, Force, Impedance, Temperature and Pressure Laboratories and to provide training to NMCC Personnel at TÜBİTAK UME Laboratories.
Following the project contract signed by TÜBİTAK UME in 2012 for the establishment of the Time and Frequency Measurements and Calibration Laboratory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the second phase of the cooperation between the two institutions has started with this contract.
