TÜBİTAK UME to Establish Calibration Laboratories for EÜAŞ

The contract for the establishment of calibration laboratories between TÜBİTAK UME and the General Directorate of Electricity Generation Corporation (EÜAŞ) was signed on March 18, 2020.

The contract was signed by Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL, President of TÜBİTAK and Dr. İzzet ALAGÖZ, General Manager of EÜAŞ. Serkan ÖZEK, Head of Maintenance Management Department of EÜAŞ, Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ, Director of TÜBİTAK UME Institute and experts from both institutions attended the contract ceremony.

The project, which started on March 19, 2020 and will last for 18 months, includes the establishment of calibration laboratories in the fields of Electricity, Temperature, Pressure, Time-Frequency, Fluids and Acoustics within EÜAŞ, providing the necessary practical trainings and establishing the quality management system infrastructure and making it ready for accreditation application.

With the completion of the project, EÜAŞ will be able to perform the calibration, measurement accuracy and controls of the devices, sensors, indicator equipment that are used for measurement and monitoring purposes in the power plants within its own structure and which are of great importance in energy efficiency for the power plant.
