Officials from the Qatar Calibration Center of the Qatar Armed Forces paid a visit to TÜBİTAK UME on April 22-25, 2019 to analyze the calibration and training requests in detail and to examine the laboratory infrastructure.

TÜBİTAK UME Director Dr. At the meeting held within the scope of the visit, which was also attended by Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ and deputy technical managers, Brigadier General Nasser Bakhıt Al-Jattal, Commander of Qatar Calibration Center, and First Lieutenant Yousef Nasser Alabdullah Jabbar, Coordinating Officer of Qatar Calibration Center, the details of the proposal to be submitted for the calibration of the existing devices at Qatar Calibration Center and the proposal prepared for the trainings planned for the center employees to receive in Voltage, High Voltage, Impedance, RF and Microwave, Electromagnetic, Magnetic, Power and Energy laboratories were discussed.

During the visit, the Qatari delegation had the opportunity to observe the TÜBİTAK UME laboratory infrastructure on site and contacts were made with the Qatari delegation for the preparation of a comprehensive proposal for the turnkey establishment of High and Low Pressure Fluids, Electromagnetic, Optical and Mass Density laboratories, the long-term training of Qatar Calibration Center personnel at UME and their participation in the Metrology Master Program carried out with Gebze Technical University and the development of the existing cooperation between the two countries.
