"TÜBİTAK UME Strategy Workshop - 2013" was held at TÜSSİDE on January 19-20 with the participation of managers, laboratory managers and senior researchers.
Participants reviewed "Strategic Planning Activities" at the workshop. In this context, the current situation was analyzed. UME vision was updated. Our new solution-oriented vision was determined as given below:
"Becoming a Worldwide Solution Center in the Field of Measurement Science"
Strategic goals and strategic targets were set in line with the new vision. In this context, in line with Turkey's goal of becoming one of the world's top 10 largest economies in 2023, a country that has increased its exports to over 500 billion dollars and generates a national income of 2 trillion dollars, TÜBİTAK UME's goal of being among the top five metrology institutes in Europe and among the top ten metrology institutes in the world in 2023 was adopted by the employees.
In addition, ideas on new projects planned to be carried out at UME, new fields of measurement envisaged to be entered, and new types of services that can be provided were collected and discussed through brainstorming sessions at the workshop.
