The Photovoltaic Performance Test Center (PPTC), where the diagnostic, electrical, optical, environmental and mechanical tests of crystal silicon and thin film silicon terrestrial photovoltaic modules to be manufactured, exported and used in Turkey can be performed in compliance with the requirements of IEC61215 and IEC 61646 standards, is in the process of establishment at TÜBİTAK UME. In addition to these tests, the spectral characterizations and calibration services of solar cells engaged in photovoltaic technology and pyranometers and pyrheliometers used in meteorological measurements will be carried out at the PPTC of TÜBİTAK UME. The PPTC will add new and additional dimensions to the activities conducted by TÜBİTAK UME.
