Özlem YILMAZ (Head of Laboratory)
Özlem Yılmaz graduated from Safranbolu High School in 1993 and received her B.S. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Kocaeli University in 1998. She completed a M.Sc. degree at the Natural and Applied Sciences Institute of Kocaeli University in 2002.
She started work as a researcher in the TÜBİTAK UME Voltage Groups Laboratory in 1998. She has been working in the Power and Energy Laboratory since 2005. She is working on calibration and measurement techniques on Electrical Power and Energy, Harmonic, Flicker, Phase, High AC Current Ratio, High AC Voltage Ratio, DC & AC Voltage and DC & AC Current, establishment and maintenance of national measurement standards, development and validation of new measurement methods, design and construction of instruments/measurement systems. She is also working on training and consultancy in the Power and Energy area, organizing and evaluation of the Interlaboratory Comparisons in order to support of national accreditation system, assessment of testing and calibration laboratories as a TURKAK Technical assessor according to ISO/IEC 17025, Strategic Management and Planning.
Hüseyin ÇAYCI
Hüseyin Çaycı graduated from Kocaeli University’s Physics Department in 1998 and received his MSc degree from the Gebze High Technology Institute (GYTE) in 2002. He has been working for TÜBİTAK UME since 1998 as Lead Senior Researcher.
As the Head of Power & Energy Laboratories, he is responsible for the organization of laboratory activities; development of new measurement methods; design and verification of new measurement devices and systems; planning and coordination of internal, industrial, national and international R&D project activities; coordination of national and international comparison measurements; and training, consultancy and ISO/IEC 17025 assessment services.
He is a member of several technical committee and working groups (EURAMET TCEM Power & Energy, TSE Mirror Committees) and advisory committees (TMMOB Metrology Congress, Meters Commission). He has papers presented in several national and international congress/conferences/workshops (Ölçümbilim, IMEKO, CPEM, ISH, ICSG, CAFMET) and published by international journals (Metrologia, Metrology Measurement Systems). He is an active referee for two international journals (IEEE I&M, IEEE Sensors).
Tansu KEFELİ
Tansu Kefeli graduated with a B.S. degree in Electronics and Communications at from the Kocaeli Engineering Faculty of Yıldız University and completed his M.Sc. education in 1998 at the Natural and Applied Sciences Institute of Kocaeli University. He joined the Department of Electronics and Communications, Kocaeli University, as a researcher in 1995. In 2000, he started working in the Electronics Workshop of TUBITAK UME and joined Power and Energy Laboratory as researcher in 2004. Currently, he is a senior researcher active in research on improving and establishing the measurement capabilities of the laboratory, design and production of circuits and precision equipment prototype and other national and international research projects.
Burak AYHAN
Burak Ayhan graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University in 1999. His PhD work at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Yeditepe University is still in progress.
He has been working at TÜBİTAK UME Power and Energy Laboratory since 2001 as senior researcher.
His research topics are measurement techniques and calibrations in the areas of electrical power, energy and related quantities and AC high current and voltage ratios. He performs the design and development of high accuracy equipment. He provides consulting and training services on laboratory setup, selection of appropriate measurement devices/systes and problem solving for industry in his areas of expertise.
Additionally, he participates in TÜRKAK accreditation assessments and TSE Mirror Committees as a technical expert.
Eray SARAL
Eray Saral graduated from the Electronics Program of the Ümraniye Industrial Vocational High School in Istanbul. He worked as a testing and calibration technician in the production department of the Northern Networks Company (formertly known as NETAŞ) between 1991-2001. He joined TÜBİTAK UEKAE as a technician and worked in research projects performing tasks related to equipment producion, test, installation and end user training. He has started working in the Power and Energy Laboratory of TÜBİTAK UME as a head technician in July 2014.
Tevfik Fikret ARMAĞAN
Tevfik Fikret Armağan graduated from Yıldız University, Kocaeli Vocational College, Electricity Department in 1993.In June 2014, he received his B.A. degree from Anadolu University, Business Administration Department. Between 1994 and 2002, he worked at Inter Engineering and Consulting Co., Bomsaş Paperboard Co., Demirbank Trading Corporation and Me-Ce Computer Co.
Between 2002 and 2014, he worked on several projects at TÜBİTAK BİLGEM as a technician, expert technician and chief technician. Since June 2014, he has been employed in the Power and Energy Laboratory of TÜBİTAK UME as a chief technician.
