The management team of the Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation (SRGNSF) visited TÜBİTAK UME on January 26, 2018, as part of their two day visit to TÜBİTAK.
The visit was made by General Director of SRGNSF, Prof. Manana MIKABERIDZE and Assistant General Director Dr. Nino GACHECHILADZE and the programme at TÜBİTAK UME was also attended by the President of TÜBİTAK, Prof. Dr. Arif ERGİN, TÜBİTAK Bilateral and Multilateral Relations Director Dr. Zeynep ARZIMAN as well as specialists from TÜBİTAK UME and the International Cooperation Department of TÜBİTAK.
The objective of the visit was inform the SRGNSF delegation on the activities and capabilities of the institutes located in TÜBİTAK’s Gebze Campus and to explore possibilities for cooperation within the framework of the Cooperation Protocol signed between TÜBİTAK and SRGNSF on February 9, 2016. To this end, presentations were given on TÜBİTAK UME, TÜBİTAK MAM, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and TÜBİTAK MARTEK and the visitors were given tours of the laboratories of TÜBİTAK UME.
SGRNSF is Georgia’s scientific research and development funding agency and cooperates with TÜBİTAK on providing support to joint Turkish – Georgian research activities.
