HACI AHMEDOV

Hacı Ahmedov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan in 1971.He received his M.S. degree in Physics from Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia in 1994 and his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Boğaziçi University, İstanbul, Turkey in 1998.

From 1998 to 2012 he worked as a Senior Researcher at TÜBİTAK Feza Gürsey Institute. He is the headmaster of the Kibble balance project and he has been coordinating it at TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (UME), Kocaeli, Turkey since 2014 where he works as a Head Senior Researcher. He is also coordinating Plasma Metrology and Applications Project. He is the head of Electrodynamics Laboratory. He is the author of more than 40 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals and national and international conferences.

His research interests include quantum field theory, mathematical physics, general relativity, quantum metrology and mathematical statistics.

He was recipient of Outstanding Young Scientists Award from GEBİP, TÜBA in 2003

 

BESTE KORUTLU

Beste Korutlu was born in Eskişehir, Turkey in 1982. She received her M.S. degree in physics from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey in 2007 and her Ph.D. degree in physics from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2012.

From 2006 to 2009 she worked as an expert in Mathematics and Computer Science Department of Çankaya University, Ankara, Turkey. From 2009 to 2012 she worked as a Research Assistant in Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.  From 2013 to 2015 she was Postdoctoral Fellow in İzmir Institute of Technology, İzmir, Turkey. Since 2015 she has been working as a senior researcher in TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (UME), Kocaeli, Turkey. She is the deputy head of Electrodynamics Laboratory.

Her research interests include high energy physics focusing mainly on phenomenology beyond the Standard Model, mass metrology and quantum metrology. She is the author of over 20 scientific papers and proceedings published in international peer-reviewed journals and national and international conferences.

The author was the recipient of Concordia Accelerator Award in 2012. She was the coordinator of Vector-like Fermions in Two Higgs Doublet Model Project (Project No: 113C002) founded by TÜBİTAK 2232 -Reintegration Research Fellowship Program.

ÖZLEN TUNCEL

Özlen Tuncel was graduated from PTU Industrial Electronics Department of Uludağ University, Bursa, Turkey in 1997.  She worked in TÜBİTAK UME Special Measurements Laboratory between the years 1997 and 2003 where she was responsible from designing, manufacturing and repairing electronic devices. Concurrently, she  was in charge of  the monitoring and defect repair of climate control systems. Moreover, she took part in the projects of designing, manufacturing and testing electronic devices within the scope of engendering and development of national standards in the laboratories of TÜBİTAK UME.

Between 2003 and 2006, she took part in various kinds of test and calibration services in Impedance Laboratory.

From 2006 to 2019, she worked in RF and Microwave Laboratory. She worked on the manufacturing microwave power sensor and testing, manufacturing the measurement kits of CDN, LISN test devices and testing the kits and microwave power, primary and secondary level power sensor calibrations.

Currently, she is working in TÜBİTAK UME Electrodynamics Laboratory in National Kilogram Standard and Plasma Metrology and Applications projects.

RECEP ORHAN

Recep Orhan was born in Bayburt, Turkey in 1988. He received his B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey in 2013. He has been pursuing his M.S. degree in Telecommunications in Yıldız Teknik University, Istanbul, Turkey since 2015.

Since 2013 he has been working in TÜBİTAK as a researcher. His research interests are estimation theory, measurement automation, voltage metrology and quantum metrology. He is the author of 9 articles scientific papers and proceedings published in international peer-reviewed journals and national and international conferences.

 He has the first 100 degrees among more than one and half million students in university entrance exam.
