An action plan was signed on October 28, 2022 between TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (TÜBİTAK UME) and Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandard).
TÜBİTAK UME Acting Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇETİNTAŞ and KazStandard General Director Gabit MUKHAMBETOV signed an action plan consisting of 12 articles, two equal texts in Russian and English. The action plan was signed for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between two institutes in May 2022.
By this action plan, it was aimed to develop metrological cooperation between the two institutes in many fields, especially the production of primary level standards for new definition of SI Units and the widely used Certified Reference Materials through joint projects.
The action plan signed to ensure the unity of measurements, which is of great importance in increasing the trade volume between the two brotherly countries from US$ 5 billion to US$ 10 billion, was also followed with great interest by the Kazakh media.
