The 7th cycle of the “BIPM-TÜBİTAK UME Project Placements” Program, implemented in collaboration with TÜBİTAK UME and the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), started on September 2, 2024.
In the 7th cycle of the program, 10 participants from Argentina, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Kenya, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Russia and Saudi Arabia were accepted to the program after significant evaluation process.
By this program, 10 participants will receive training from TÜBİTAK UME researchers in their own research areas for 1 to 3 months and will continue their research on the project topics they requested by being integrated into laboratory studies. The training and accommodation expenses of the researchers accepted to the program will be covered by TÜBİTAK UME.
The BIPM - TÜBİTAK UME Project Placements Program not only strengthens the cooperation ties established with the metrology institutes of the participating countries, but also provides TÜBİTAK UME with serious momentum in raising its bar in the metrology ecosystem.
The success of this training program, which has made a considerable contribution to the integration of developing country metrology institutes into the international system and has been carried out in partnership with BIPM, also carries significant prestige in terms of strengthening TÜBİTAK UME's place in the "champions league" category of the metrology world.
