“BIPM – TUBITAK UME Project Placements” is a joint programme offered under an agreement signed between the BIPM and TÜBİTAK UME which provides hands-on laboratory training and research experience for periods ranging from one month to three months to selected researchers from NMIs and DIs that have recently begun participation in the CIPM MRA or those that are expected to begin participation in the near future.
Applications for the second cycle (2019) of the “BIPM – TUBITAK UME Project Placements” are now being accepted via the BIPM website from interested researchers who will be expected to propose a small research project in any field of metrology. The applications will be jointly evaluated by the BIPM and TÜBİTAK UME and those selected will have the opportunity to gain training/research experience in the subject of their proposal. The programme will also include sessions on the CIPM MRA and its requirements led by experts from the BIPM.
The project placements are being offered as TÜBİTAK UME’s contribution to the Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer (CBKT) Programme implemented by the BIPM which aims to increase the visibility and participation of emerging metrology systems in the world-wide metrology community.
