The first action plan meeting within the framework of the trilateral MoU between TÜBİTAK UME, the General Directorate for Metrology and Standardization of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Development (MSGM) and the National Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH) was held at TÜBİTAK UME on January 22, 2018.
The meeting was attended by the Director of TÜBİTAK UME Dr. Mustafa Çetintaş, IMBiH General Director Zijad
DŽEMIĆ and Head of Metrology 1 Department at MSGM Dr. Ferhat Erol, as well as experts from TÜBİTAK UME, IMBiH and MSGM.
The meeting focused on developments concerning EU legislation relevant to metrology and legal metrology practices in Bosnia-Herzegovina harmonized with EU legislation with a particular emphasis on verification and conformity assessment of medical devices, grain verification devices, and breath measurement devices.
After the conclusion of the meeting, participants visited the Medical Metrology Laboratory of TÜBİTAK UME.
More meetings are planned later in the year to develop cooperation in scientific and legal metrology in line with the trilateral MoU.
