Information collected on the contributions of national metrology institutes regarding the global fight against COVID-19 with the initiative of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) has been published on the BIPM website.
Upon the call of the President of the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM), information was collected on the work carried out by all national metrology institutes to support the fight against COVID-19.
All the collected information, including the projects initiated by TÜBİTAK UME within this scope, was published on the BIPM website and shared with stakeholders. In the information compiled from a single source, it is seen that different institutes use their infrastructure and expertise to carry out a wide range of activities such as design and production of medical devices, reference material production to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of test results, vaccine production, production of artificial respiration device and characterization and N95 type mask characterization.
