TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Burkinabe Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Quality (ABNORM), the national metrology institute of Burkina Faso, for the purpose of initiating cooperation between the two institutions.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on August 10, 2016, at TÜBİTAK UME, by the Chair of the Executive Board of ABNORM, Mr. Marcel SINKA, and the Director of TÜBİTAK UME, Dr. Mustafa Çetintaş.
Also present at the signature ceremony were the General Director of ABNORM, Mr. Ky OUMAROU, Director of Metrology, Mr. Joel BADO, and Director of Quality Control, Mr. Djakaridja NYAMBA. The delegation were given a tour of the laboratories after the ceremony.
Within the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding, cooperation is expected towards enhancing the capacity of ABNORM to deliver traceable calibration services and improving the technical skills of its staff.
The number of NMIs with which TÜBİTAK UME has signed a Memorandum of Understanding now stands at 29.
