Delegation from Kazakhstan headed by Kazakhstan Standardization and Metrology Institute (KazStandart) General Manager Gabit MUKHAMBETOV and Kazakhstan National Accreditation Center (NCA) General Manager Kainar TAIZHANOV visited TUBITAK UME on 23 June 2022.
During the visit, the details of the cooperation, whose general framework was drawn within the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding between TÜBİTAK UME and KazStandart, signed during the 10th SMIIC Metrology Council Meeting held in Istanbul on May 16, 2022, were discussed.
During the meeting attended by İhsan ÖVÜT, Secretary General of the Institute of Standardization and Metrology of Islamic Countries (SMIIC), several discussions were held on possible future projects for the development of existing cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan in the field of metrology and for the development of the infrastructure of the Kazakhstan Metrology Institute.
At the end of the meeting, a laboratory visit was also held, where information about the detailed institutional capacity of TÜBİTAK UME was presented to delegation.
