TÜBİTAK UME hosted the 2013 annual meetings of the EURAMET-WELMEC Focus Group on Facilitating National Infrastructure Development (FG-FNMID) and the EURAMET Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology (TC-IM)
On 4-5 November, TÜBİTAK UME hosted the 6th Annual Meeting of the EURAMET-WELMEC Focus Group on Facilitating National Infrastructure Development (FG-FNMID), which was established in 2008 for the purpose of fostering cooperation towards developing strategies and organizing activities to facilitate the development of newly established and emerging national metrology institutes in Europe.
On November 7-8, TÜBİTAK UME hosted the 16th Meeting of the EURAMET Technical Committee for Interdisciplinary Metrology (TC-IM), which deals with matters that fall outside the traditional technical areas of metrology and those that concern metrology in general. Topics on the agenda included efforts to steer the application of the CIPM MRA towards greater sustainability and effectiveness, preparation of e-learning materials for metrology and preparations for the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR), which is expected to be launched in 2014.
