The MoU was signed during a visit made by delegation from TÜBİTAK UME to NIM between tha dates of October 31 and November 1, 2017 by the Director of TÜBİTAK UME, Dr. Mustafa Çetintaş, and the Director of NIM, Mr. Fang Xiang.
The signing of the MoU was preceded by a tour of NIM’s laboratory facilities located on two seperate campuses and discussions on technical areas of common interest.
The MoU forsees cooperation between the two institutions over the near and medium term on scientific projects in areas of mutual interest, which is expected to lead to stronger cooperation over the long term. Areas identified as being suitable for cooperation include electrical power and energy metrology, quantum standards, atomic sensors, time dissemination systems and certified reference materials.
The new MoU with NIM raises the number of MoUs signed by TÜBİTAK UME with its international counterparts to a total of 36.
