In this installation, which was carried out by TÜBİTAK UME by sharing its knowledge, support was provided in areas such as the design of the laboratory and systems to be installed in laboratory, the establishment of the automation system, development of the software for the devices to be used in the laboratory, the calibration of the relevant devices and training. UzNIM Time and Frequency Laboratory was integrated into the international system through bilateral comparisons carried out between UzNIM and TÜBİTAK UME.
The opening ceremnoy of the Time and Frequency Laboratory was held at the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute on 6th of November, 2023, with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries, related departments and sector experts.
On the same day, TUBITAK UME experts and representatives from relevant ministries, related institutions, and mobile phone operator experts attended the seminar entitled "Creating the National Time Scale UTC (UZ) with the national time and frequency unit standard and providing accurate legal time to economic sectors".
Director of Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute Lazizbek Saidoripov and TÜBİTAK UME Acting Director Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Çetintaş signed a road map on the implementation of scientific and technical cooperation in the field of metrology for the years 2023-2024.
In addition, Mr. Çetintaş was informed about the laboratory infrastructure of the Uzbekistan National Metrology Institute, the scientific activities and technical capabilities of INNO - innovative education and production technopark, the implementation partner of scientific and innovative projects.
