Preservation of the organ in optimal conditions to maintain its viability until it is transplanted to the recipient is crucial. During the cold ischemia period, a variety of molecules including enzymes and proteins are released from organs to preservation solution. In this project, proteins released from kidney and liver into the preservation solution prior to transplantation were investigated by using two different proteomic approaches; two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE)-MALDI-TOF and LC-MS/MS (TÜBİTAK MAM Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Institute).
